About Us!

While most people might not consider the farthest reaches of Iowa, the state is home to four corners, three of which are relatively quiet. However, at the southeastern most point lies Keokuk—a delightful small town with a population of just under 10,000. Keokuk boasts stunning views, enjoyable attractions, and some fantastic dining options.

Did you know that Keokuk is famous for its exceptional barbecue? You’ll want to check out Fort Worth Barbecue Cafe, a cozy little spot with a retro western theme serving up mouthwatering, slow-smoked dishes. Our cafe was even voted to have the best breakfast and the best dine-in experience in all of Southeast Iowa! Located just minutes from Iowa’s corner along the Mississippi River, it’s easy to cross into either Illinois or Missouri.

So, is it worth the trip to the farthest corner of Iowa just for some amazing barbecue? After sampling these delicious offerings, we certainly think it is!
